Sometimes an idea gets sent our way and we can’t help but explore it. So when a customer letter came across our CEO’s desk suggesting we try salt from Alaska Pure Salt Company in our smooth dark chocolate, we ran with it.
Alaskan pure smoked sea salt brightens deep cocoa notes and provides a delicate smoky aroma and flavor to this 61% dark chocolate bar. The salt flakes are harvested off shores of Sitka Sound, Alaska then smoked over burning Alder wood which is native to the coastal rainforest of the Pacific Northwest.
Alaskan Smoked Sea Salt is smooth and creamy with crunch of salt and a nice balance of salty and sweet. The cacao origin is Rupa-Rupa, Upper Amazon region of Peru. The beans in this dark chocolate sea salt bar are fermented 7 days, dried 7 days with a medium roast.

Our 61% Peruvian chocolate is sustainably sourced from family owned and operated farms in the high Amazonia region known as Rupa Rupa. Mineral-rich water from the Andes mountains runs off into this area, creating fertile soil ideal for growing cacao. It is known for producing fine flavor, high aroma cacao.
